The registrations for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination ) Advanced will begin from from April 29 and will close on May 4. The JEE The exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 22 by IIT Guwahati. This is a national level exam, which is conducted for admission to various Bachelor's degree programmes in eighteen IITs and Indian School of Mines (ISM), along with other reputed engineering institutes.
Only the top 2 lakh rank holders of JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. A candidate can attempt this exam a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years

Only top 2 lakh candidates of JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. A candidate, including a foreign national, must fulfill each and every one of the following five criteria to appear in this exam:
Performance in JEE Main 2016
Age Limit
Number of Attempts
Appearance in Class 12(or equivalent) examination
Earlier admission at IITs/ISM
Paper patten
The paper pattern of JEE Advanced may vary from year to year. There are a total of 2 papers (paper 1 and 2) and candidates have to appear for both. The question paper consists of three separate sections namely, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
It is available in two languages- English and Hindi. Candidates have to attempt objective type (multiple choice) and numerical answer type questions that are designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates. Some sections carry negative marking also.
