The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE)
declared the Class 12 board results at 10.30 am today. The results have
been published online at the official sites of the board. The students
can access their results through the board's SMS service as well.
Once
the students who appeared for the exam have checked their result
online, they can download and print it for future reference.
The
results were released at a press conference, which was held at Rabindra
Milan Mancha, Vidyasagar Bhavan of the council, Kolkata. The board will
distribute the mark sheets, certificates and other relevant documents at
the same time. All the heads of Higher Secondary Institutions have been
asked to collect these documents from their respective camps. The heads
of institutions have been instructed to hand over these documents to
the students today itself.
Established in 1975, the board aims at
the promotion and development of higher secondary education in West
Bengal. Today, it regulates the education system of 4,300 schools which
are affiliated to it.
The primary functions of WBBSE are to
recommend the syllabus, propose rules and specify courses of instruction
and textbooks, teaching by correspondence courses, recognition of
higher secondary education in schools in West Bengal.
