JEE Main & Advanced 2017: First Seat Allotment to be released on June 28

The Joint Seat Allotment Authority of JEE mains are all set to publish the first allotment of JEE Main and Advanced 2017 on June 28, 2017.

Mock seat allotment process will take place on 20th and 23rd June. The qualified candidates can lock their choice of branch before June 26, 2017.  Hence the aspirants who want to change their options or those who had not frozen the options have to do before 26th June.
Important dates:
Registration & Choice Filling Process: June 15 to 26, 2017
Last date of choice filling: June 26, 2017
Mock seat allotment: June 20, 2017 (1st round) & June 23, 2017 (2nd round)
First round of seat allotment: June 28, 2017
First round reporting of Seat Acceptance: 29 June 2017 – 3 July 2017 (5 days)

IIT JEE Main 2017: Registration date extended to January 16

JEE Main 2017: The last date for the submission of application forms for the JEE Main 2017 examination has been extended by 14 days to January 16, 2017. CBSE said that the last date was changed as per requests from various candidates, parents and schools. The last date to pay the fee has also been pushed forward to January 17, 2017.
The last date was earlier January 2.
The JEE Main are held to admit candidates to engineering courses in institutes such as Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), across the country.
Important dates:
– Start of online registration process: December 1, 2016
– Last date to register online: January 16, 2017
– Last date to pay fee: January 17, 2017
– Date of JEE main examination: April 2, 2017

JEE Mains is one of the top level examinations of India. JEE is a 2 stage examination conducted by CBSE Board. The interested candidates can get admissions in UG eng./architecture courses in NITs, IITs and other institutions through JEE Mains examination, whereas IITs provide admissions to eligible candidates through JEE Advanced examination. The qualified candidates of JEE Mains will be eligible to take up JEE Advanced examination.

Important Changes Made in JEE Main 2017

  • There will be no weightage for higher secondary marks in calculating the ranks in JEE Main examination.

The Central Board of Secondary Education declared the results for All India Pre Medical/Pre Dental Test 2015 on August 16. Vipul Garg of Haryana, topped the examination with 695 marks out of 720. Khushi Tiwari came a close second with 688 marks.
The candidates who have cleared the exam are now eligible to appear for the counselling/allotment process for MBBS/BDS seats.
The schedule is as follows:
  • Main Counseling Registrations: August 19 to August 21 till 11:59 pm
  • Round 1 of Seat Allotment: August 22
  • Reporting of the seats allotted in Round 1: August 24-August 27 till 6 pm
  • Round 2 of Seat Allotment: September 1
  • Publication of Result (Round 2): September 2
  • Reporting of the seats allotted in Round 2: September 3 to September 7
  • Round 3 of Seat Allotment: September 9
  • Publication of Result (Round 3): September 10
  • Reporting of the seats allotted in Round 3: September 11 to September 15
  • Transfer of vacant seats to State Quota: September 15, after 6 pm
A slot of 3722 seats has been arranged against the 15 percent All-India Quota. A wait list of four times the seats has also been prepared and provided to the Directorate General of Health Services for the purpose of counseling.
A total number of 3,74,386 candidates appeared in the examination out of which, 1,80,957 were boys and 1,93,429 were girls.

CBSE/UGC NET JUNE 2015 ONLINE APPLICATION

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Announced notification for National Eligibility Test (NET) which will be held on 28th June 2015. CBSE is going to conduct NET on behalf of UGC for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE will conduct NET in 84 subjects at 89 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country.
The award of JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both OR Eligibility for Assistant Professor only will depend on the performance of the candidate in all three papers of NET.
