JEE Advanced 2017: How to prepare for the exam

Over 2.21 lakh students, who have cleared the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, will now take the JEE (Advanced) for around 11,000 seats in IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) in the country on May 21.
Usually, if you score around 40% (general category), you can get a seat in one of the IITs. The cutoff goes down to around 30-35% at times. Don’t worry about the outcome, just focus on solving the questions.
Here is how you can prepare for the exam in these few days:
1. Solve the test papers of JEE (Advanced) from the past 10 years.
2. Identify the questions from topics that you can solve in all the tests. Work on the weak topics by solving more problems from a good book or coaching material.
3. Write the important formula of all the topics from the syllabus and revise them 2 days before the exam.
4. If you have enrolled in a coaching institute then follow the plan given by them, especially the practice tests. Revise the coaching material well.

CBSE Class 12 Date Sheet to be revised to accommodate JEE Main: truth behind the reports

cbse-10th-and-12th-date-sheet-revised
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the CBSE Class 12 Board Examination 2017 Date Sheet last week. Soon after the date sheet was released, parents and teachers took to the internet to complain about the date sheet. Parents and teachers complained that JEE Main and CBSE Class 12 Board papers were too close and presented how unhappy they were with the date sheet. Such has been the chorus that reports of CBSE planning to revise the Class 12 Date sheet to accommodate JEE Main examination have surfaced. Whether they are rumours or a fact continues to baffle parents, students and teachers. We reached out to sources in the CBSE and hereby confirm that there is no truth behind the alleged reports. CBSE Class 12 date sheet, is in fact, not going to be revised.
