Tata Institute of Fundamental Research: Admission open for PhD courses

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, has released a notification for its Graduate School (GS) Nationwide Entrance Examination. The entrance examination is conducted for taking admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer & System Sciences & Science Education and integrated Ph.D+ M.Sc in Mathematics, Biology and integrated Ph.D in Physics offered at Bangalore and Mumbai campuses for the session 2015.

The institute is a National Centre of the Government of India under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy, offering master's and doctoral degrees.

Eligibility Criteria-

• For Ph.D (Mumbai)

Candidates should have a degree in M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech./M.A./ B.A/B.Sc

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) invited applications for Admissions to PhD, Integrated MSc-PhD as well as MSc degree programmes in certain subjects. The candidates eligible can apply through prescribed format before 30 September 2014.

• Date of Nationwide Entrance Examination: 14 December 2014
• Date of Results of the Nationwide Entrance Examination: 15 January 2015
