West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam announces dates for the next
year.
WBJEE 2015 exam to be
held in April 2105 as told by WBJEE.
According to WBJEE, the entrance exam for next year will
take place on April 18 and 19, 2015. The online registration for the exam will
begin from the first week of December 2014.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam is a state-government
controlled centralized exam for a number of medical and engineering colleges of
West Bengal. Students can take the exam after 12th for admission to graduation
courses. Around 3 lakh students from both CBSE and ISC boards take the test
every year. Only students from PCB or PCM streams are eligible for this test.
It is the most prestigious test in West Bengal .
The WBJEE exam 2015 is conducted for admission to the first
year of Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, Medical and Dental
courses in the government colleges of West Bengal, University Institute of
Technology, Burdwan University and private self financing colleges of West
Bengal.
The test for medical and engineering courses is similar in
pattern. There are two separate tests for medical and engineering courses. The
only difference between the papers is that, that the Medical exam has Biology
paper while the engineering exam has the Mathematics paper.
The exam is totally objective. It consists of 80 MCQs and is
divided into two sections. Section-1 consists of 60 MCQs of 1 mark each while
Section-2 consists of 20 MCQs of 2 marks each. Negative making is applicable.
30% of the total marks is deducted for each wrong answer.
