Himachal Pradesh Board results 2015: How to check

The results for Himachal Pradesh Board exams have been declared by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE). The candidates can check the results on the India Today website. They can also view the result by following the steps listed below: 

• Go to the official website www.hpbose.org
• Click on the link provided for viewing results
• Insert Hall Ticket number
• Submit

The result will be displayed on the monitor screens. Once the students who appeared for the examination have checked their results online, they also have the option to download the PDF file of their results and take a printout for future reference. 

The official mark sheets will be sent to the affiliated institutions shortly by HPBOSE.

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education conducts the High School, i.e., Class 10 and Higher Secondary, i.e., Class 12 examinations in the state every year. This year, approximately 11 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examination. The Board was founded for the promotion and development of Secondary Education in the Himachal Pradesh.

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education was established in October 1969 and subsequently began the process of conducting examinations.

HPBOSE has the power to regulate, supervise and control school education in Himachal Pradesh. Its primary function is to prepare academic programmes and organise examinations, especially for Class 10 and Class 12.

The main purpose and duties of the board are to recommend syllabus, propose rules and specify courses of instruction and textbooks, teaching by correspondence courses, recognition of higher school and higher secondary schools in Himachal Pradesh.
