The Union Public Service Commission has released the examination schedule for the Combined Defence Services examination 2016. The exam has been scheduled to be conducted on February 14, 2016. The interested and eligible candidates can apply according to the prescribed format.
Eligibility criteria:
For Indian Military Academy and Officer'sTraining Academy: The candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Their qualifying degree should be from a recognised university or institute.
For Naval Academy: The candidates should hold a degree in any of these disciplines- B.Sc with Physics and Mathematics as subjects or a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.). Their qualifying degree should be from a recognised university or institute.
For Air Force Academy: The candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and should have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as subjects. If they did not have Physics and Mathematics in Class 12, but have an engineering degree, they are eligible to apply.
The candidates who are currently in their final year are also eligible to apply, on the condition that they will produce proof of passing the degree level examination as per the schedule.
