Odisha to participate in JEE Main-2017

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government, which had taken part in the all India Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main examination this year, will also take part in the test scheduled on April 2 next year.
However, submission of Aadhaar card details at the time of applying for the JEE Main has been made mandatory this time by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
As per a CBSE notification, all the Indian citizen candidates should possess Aadhaar card issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). At the time of filling application form of JEE (Main)-2017, the candidates will have to enter their Aadhaar number, name, date of birth and gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data.  In case, these particulars do not match, the candidates will not be able to fill the application form. Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar card has correct details of their name, date of birth and gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in Aadhaar data or school records, as the case may be.

100 model schools to open in Odisha


Odisha to set up 100 model schools next year

On October 5, the Odisha government said that 100 model schools will start functioning from the next academic session (2016-17) in the state.
The School and Mass Education Minister, Debi Prasad Mishra said that, "While the state government has set a target to open model schools in each block, 100 such schools will begin functioning from next academic session in the first phase."
The decision was taken in a meeting in Bhubaneshwar today, it was chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Mishra said that a total of 1,772 employees, including 1,332 teachers, would be appointed in these model schools. The appointment process of 1,332 teachers and 440 staffers in the 100 such schools would be completed by March next year.
The model schools, meant to impart education from Class one to Class 12, will be carved out at par with the central government-run Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), the Chief Minister's Office said in a statement.
It added that vocational courses would also be a major part of the curriculum. Patnaik directed officials to expedite the construction of buildings and other infrastructural works to ensure that education is imparted in the model schools from the 2016-17 academic session.
The model schools, to be managed by autonomous bodies, will also have residential facilities for students.

Odisha JEE Results: Declared at odisha.nic.in
The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) results have been declared by the Employment and Technical Education and Training (ET&T) minister Sanjay Dasburma on June 4.
A total of 63,693 students appeared for the OJEE this year, out of which approximately 44,421 students cleared the paper.
The students who appeared for the examination can check their result in the following ways:
Visit the official website ojee.nic.in
Click on 'Download the rank card'
Enter the required details (Name, Father's name, Date of Birth)
Click on 'Submit'
The results will appear on screen. The students can take a print-out of the results for future-reference.
The OJEE counselling for admission of students is expected to begin from June 16.
The Odisha Entrance is for professional courses like MBA, MCA, Pharmacy and lateral entry into technical colleges in the state. This year, OJEE also conducted tests for admission in masters in planning and masters in architecture.

OJEE 2014: Last date for registration is extended

Last date for online registration for Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE) for 2014 is now extended. 
 
OJEE 2014 is the qualifying entrance exam conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the state.
 
 Admission to first year degree courses in homeopathy/ayurveda/pharmacy and dual degree in masters degree in applied management (MAM) masters degree in computer application(MCA) and lateral admission to second year (third semester) engineering/technology/pharmacy/architecture/MCAand first year masters degree courses in computer application(MCA),business administration(MBA),PGDM, PGCM, PGDM( executive), M Tech./ M Pharm/M Arch; will be made based on the results of OJEE 2014.
