KEAM 2014 (Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical) Notification Released

The application process for KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical) 2014 has been started. Apply Online!
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CCE), Kerala has invited Applications for the Entrance Examinations (KEAM 2014) for Admission to Professional Degree Courses 2014 in Medical (MBBS & BDS)/Agriculture/Veterinary/Fisheries/Engineering/Architecture, being offered by colleges and institutions across the state. Eligible candidates may apply online on or before 04 February 2014 at the official website - www.cee.kerala.gov.in.

Date for UPSC Exams 2014 announced, preliminary exam on August 24

Details regarding the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC ) civil service exams 2014 have been announced. The preliminary exams will be held on August 24, 2014 and the results are expected to be out sometime in the month of October.
According to the UPSC examination 2014 calendar, the official notification for Civil Services Preliminary Exam 2014 will be released on May 17, 2014. The UPSC examination is conducted using a two-step method. The interested candidate needs to appear for the civil services preliminary exam which is followed by the civil services mains exam.
The preliminary examination is an objective type exam conducted as a screening test for the mains exam. This paper consists of two papers - general study paper and civil service aptitude test (CSAT). Once the candidate clears the preliminary exam he or she needs to appear for the main exam paper. This exam assesses the overall intellectual traits and depth of understanding of a candidate. It consists of nine written exams of 250 marks each.

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) exam on 22 June 2014

The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) 2014 is conducted by the Council of the Institute Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The CPT exam is expected to be held on 22 June in two sessions. The CPT exam is held twice a year for admission to ICAI in the integrated professional competence course, the entry level in becoming a Chartered Accountant.
CPT consists of four subjects namely, Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude.

Eligibility:
The registration begins after class 10th although exams can be given only after 10+2. Validity for CPT registration is 3 years, after which revalidation can be made.

1. First session: Morning session

    10:30 am to 12:30 pm -(Section A-Fundamental of Accounting)- 60 Marks
                                                - (Section B- Mercantile Laws) - 40 Marks
2. Second session: Afternoon session
    2pm to 4 pm -(Section C- General Economics) - 50 Marks
                           - (Section D- Quantitative Aptitude) - 50 Marks

JEE for hotel management on April 26

The Institute of Hotel Management-Bangalore (IHM-B), established jointly by the Union and State governments, will conduct Hotel Management Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-2014 on April 26, 2014.
“There are 21 IHMs (of the Central government), 17 IHMs (of State governments), 19 private IHMs and six food craft institutes affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism. The JEE-2014 will be held to fill seats in all these institutes,” IHM-B Principal, V R Venkatadri, told reporters here on Monday.

JEE Mains 2014: Class 12 students attempting Computer based test may apply to CBSE for new exam slot if dates coincide

JEE Mains 2014 exam, conducted both in pen and paper mode and computer-based, gave aspirants the option to select their own exam date for the computer-based exam till January 17. After receiving requests from aspirants worried about the clash of dates of the board examination with JEE Mains computer-based exams, CBSE has given the option for change in exam slots for the latter.

Class 12th students with coinciding exam dates may send a copy of their Class 12 exam admit cards by e-mail to www.jeemain@nic.in latest by March 15 with their JEE (Main) 2014 application number. The copy of the admit card and request for date change should be sent by e-mail only; requests sent by post or to any other e-mail id won't be considered. The candidiates will be allotted other available exam dates for the JEE Mains computer-based examination.

ICAI Announced Dates for Intermediate Main Final Examination May 2014

The below mentioned examinations are to be held all across the country in the pre-decided cities. However, the exam is also to be held in 4 overseas locations to conduct Intermediate (IPC) and Final Examinations Only. The four location of outside India are: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kathmandu and Muscat.
Examination Dates:
• The INTERMEDIATE (IPC) EXAMINATION for Group – 1
Examination Dates:    27, 29, 31 May 2014 and 2 June 2014
Schedule: Afternoon Session from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.

Examination Dates:  4, 6 & 8 June 2014
Schedule: Afternoon Session from 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM.

JEE Advanced 2014 registrations to begin May 4

JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Advanced 2014 will be conducted on May 25, 2014, while the results will be declared on June 19, 2014.
The registrations process for the same will commence from May 4, 2014 and will continue till May 9, 2014 (between 10 am to 5 pm). Eligible students need to register online at http://jeeadv.iitkgp.ac.in.
The admit cards for the exam will be issued between May 11 to May 24, 2014 and aspirants who come across any discrepancy in the admit card are supposed to inform about the same to the Chairman - JEE Advanced. The last date to report any such issue is May 22, 2014.
Only top 1, 50,000 students who would appear for JEE Main 2014 will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2014.
