HRD Minister Smriti Irani orders addition of moral values in education



Smriti Irani, HRD Minister has issued an order to add moral value in educating school children. On May 6, moral and civic education was made compulsory to all CBSE affiliated schools and colleges by the Union Minister for Human Resource Development.
The HRD Ministry's press release said that all National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) textbooks would have themes and examples reflecting moral conduct.
The syllabus will introduce value education. Additionally, NCERT has created a resource book for teachers called the 'Ways to Peace'. The students would be assessed on these new subjects in the final exams, as per the release.

Assam CEE-2015 admit cards are released by the Dibrugarh University online and are available for downloading from May 7th, 2015 onwards. Candidates who are appearing in the State Engineering entrance exam have to download the Admit Card of Assam CEE 2015 to take it with them in the exam. Engineering aspirants of Assam CEE-2015 have to present the admit card while appearing for the exam because the important document for identification purposes and without it entry of the candidates is not allowed. JEE Advanced-2015: Registration process to begin from 2nd May'15

The registration process for the JEE (Advanced) is set to start from today i.e. May 2nd, 2015 from 10 am. The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced is scheduled to be held on May 24th, 2015. The Joint Admission Board (CBSE) had released a notification stating that the registration process for the JEE (Advanced) will be conducted from May 2nd to May 7th, 2015. The candidates who had not applied for the JEE (Advanced) earlier can also register during this period. Top 1, 50, 000 scorers of JEE Main-2015 can apply for the JEE Advanced-2015.

JEE candidates to get OMR copies for a fee

NEW DELHI: The candidates of Joint Entrance Examination (main) 2015 can get the photocopy of the OMR sheet, answer key and calculation sheet on request along with a prescribed fee. A notice was issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education on Wednesday, two days after the results were declared. 

According to the public notice, candidates who are interested in getting these documents must apply to the CBSE on or before June 8. The application must include a demand draft of Rs 500 (payable to secretary, CBSE, at New Delhi, issued by any scheduled bank). A candidate who has already applied under RTI Act 2005 may apply afresh for the same along with a required fee of Rs 500. 

The candidates should mention their roll no, name and address correctly in their application. The roll number and name should also be mentioned on the backside of the demand draft. The photocopy of the OMR sheet and calculation sheet will be provided to the candidate by speed post only.
