IIM, Bangalore notifies for admissions to FPM programme

Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore has invited applications for its FPM programme in all areas of business management and public policy. The programme trains individuals to excel in their chosen areas of research through publication-quality work of international standards. Students are expected to complete the programme within five years. The maximum duration of the programme is seven years

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates should have
A master's degree in any discipline, (10+2+3+1 or 2 pattern) with at least 55 per cent marks.
A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 55 per cent marks.
A 4-year/8-semester bachelor's degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 60 per cent marks.
How to Apply: Candidates have to apply through official website www.iimb.ernet.in.
Selection Procedure: Selection will be based on the applicant's performance in CAT/GRE/GMAT/GATE/JRF/NET as applicable, past academic performance, work experience and Research Aptitude Test (RAT) and/or interview conducted by the institute.
Financial Aid: FPM students in good standing will receive a stipend of Rs 24,000 per month (in addition to tuition waiver) for up to four years and nine months to cover their living expenses, books and materials, and other contingency expenses.
Other financial support made available to students includes:
Start up grant of Rs 50,000 to meet expenses on purchasing hardware, software, etc.
National Conference grants of up to Rs 15,000 each towards accepted papers for multiple conferences.
International Conference grants of up to Rs 1,30,000 each towards a first accepted paper, and up to Rs 65,000 each for subsequent conferences. These grants are made on a competitive basis.
Important Dates: 
  • Last date of submission of the application form: January 27, 2015.
  •  Date of RAT/interview: 1st/2nd week of April 2015 (tentatively).
