CBSE CTET 2015: Check the syllabus in detail



The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has published the admit card for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2015. The candidates can download the admit card from the official wesbite, the link for which is ctet.nic.in. The exam is slated to be held on September 20. The exam will be conducted in two parts. Paper II will be conducted from 9:30 am to 12 pm and Paper I will be conducted from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.
The Central Teaching Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2015 Paper I and Paper II updated syllabus is given below:
Paper I (for classes I to V) Primary Stage:
1. Child Development and Pedagogy

a) Child Development (Primary School Child)
  • Concept of development and its relationship with learning
  • Principles of the development of children  
  • Influence of Heredity & Environment 
  • Socialization processes: Social world & children (Teacher, Parents, Peers)  
  • Piaget, Kohlberg and Vygotsky: constructs and critical perspectives  
  • Concepts of child-centered and progressive education
  • Critical perspective of the construct of Intelligence
  • Multi Dimensional Intelligence
  • Language & Thought 

CBSE CTET 2015: Important instructions for candidates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on September 20. The board has issued certain instructions for the candidates who will appear for the exam, they are required to strictly comply with the  prescribed rules.
The instructions for CTET September 2015 are listed below:
  • The candidates should follow all instructions and maintain discipline in the examination hall
  • They should not indulge in or promote any unfair means/activity during the examination
  • They must carry along their admit card and a photo identity card (driver's license, voter ID, aadhar card, passport, etc.). If a candidate does have both or either of the two documents, he/she will not be allowed to appear for the exam
  • The candidates are not allowed to bring with them any of these items:

CTET admit cards out: Forgot registration number?

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has published the admit cards for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2015 at the website.The candidates who have forgotten their registration number can directly download their admit card from the official website, the link for which is ctet.nic.in.
To know how to download, the candidates must follow the points mentioned below:
  • Visit the official website
  • Click on the tab, 'Forgot Registration No'
  • The candidates are required to enter the essential details i.e. name, mother's name, father's anme, date of birth, category, paper applied, security pin
On submitting the same, the admit card will be displayed on the screen. The candidates must take a print-out for future reference.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test 2015: Download admit cards from September 4

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced that it will release the admit cards for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test on September 4. The candidates who had applied to appear for the examination will be able to download their admit cards from the official website, www.ctet.nic.in.
The candidates will be able to download their admit cards by following the steps mentioned below"
  • Go to www.ctet.nic.in
  • Click on the tab 'Admit card'
  • Click on the link provided for downloading admit cards
  • Enter the required details, such as name, roll number, etc.
  • Submit the details
  • The admit card will be displayed on the screens
The candidates are required to download their admit card and take a printout of the same and appear for the examination at the given centre.

CTET September 2014: Details about the paper

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for the September 2014 session.
The candidates who wish to be a teacher for classes I to V will have to appear for Paper I from 2pm to 4:30pm and Paper II will be conducted for candidates who wish to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII from 9:30 pm to 12 noon.
CTET paper will be having multiple choice questions, wherein each question will carry four options, out of which one is to be chosen. For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded to the candidates. No negative marking is applicable, though.
Paper I: (Two and a half hours)
Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 MCQs
Language I: 30 MCQs
Language II: 30 MCQs
Mathematics: 30 MCQs
Environmental Studies: 30 MCQs

CTET September 2014: Exam Notification

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi will conduct Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for determining a candidate's eligibility for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII on September, 21, 2014 (Sunday).

CTET shall apply to schools of NCT of Delhi, Central Government (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the administrative control of Union Territories. CTET may also apply to other institutions like unaided private schools and other state government schools, if they exercise the option of considering the CTET.

Eligibility:
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V:
Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
