The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the National
Eligibility Test (NET) on behalf of the University Grants Commission
(UGC) on June 28. The students appearing for the exam can now collect
their admit cards on the official website of CBSE NET.
In order
to confirm their test centres, the candidates will be required to
download their admit cards. The procedure is as follows:
- Log on to the official website
- Click on the link that says 'Login for admit card'
- Fill in the required data (Application number, password)
- Press on 'Submit'
The admit cards will appear on screen in a PDF format. The candidates must take multiple-print outs of the same.
The
candidates will not be permitted in the examination centres without
showing the admit cards to their invigilators. The exam involves three
papers, all of which are conducted on the same day.
The students
will be marked on the basis of their performance in three sections, all
of which will be conducted for an hour and forty five minutes.
Candidates
who would qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
would be eligible to pursue research in the subject of their
post-graduation or in a related subject and would also be eligible for
Assistant Professor.
