CAT 2015: Registration procedure begins today

On  July 26, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has published the  notification of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015.  The registration procedure will commence from today i.e. August 6 and will be closed on September 20. The exam is scheduled to be held on November 29. The candidates can check the detailed information on the official website, the link for which is: www.iimcat.ac.in.
Educational qualification:The candidates must have acquired a Bachelor's degree with at least 50 per cent from a recognised university or institute.

Delhi University admissions 2015: Tenth cut-list released

Delhi University released the Tenth cut-off list for admissions to undergraduate courses for the academic session of 2015 at 9 am today. The list for all three streams, Science, Commerce and Arts have been published online, the candidates can check the same at the official site of the university, www.du.ac.in.
The students can view the cut-off for their particular course and college by following the steps mentioned below:

• Go to the official website,
• Click on the link, 'Undergraduate Admissions 2015 Cut offs: Click Here to View Eighth Cut Off (2015)'
• The candidates should click for their respective stream, 'Science cut off', 'Arts and Commerce cut off' or 'B.A. (Hons.) French, German, Italian, Spanish'

The cut off list will be displayed on the screen.

IIT Bombay CEED 2016: Know the examination schedule

The Indian Institute Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has notified the schedule for the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2016. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 6, 2015.
Eligibility criteria:
The candidates should have any of the following degrees:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design or Interior Design or its equivalent (four-year programme after 10+2).
• Professional diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or its equivalent of four-year programme after 10+2).
• B.F.A. (four-year professional programme after 10+2).
• G.D. Art (five-year programme after Class 10) with one year post qualification professional experience
• Master's degree in Arts, Science or Computer Applications (two-year programme after 10+2+3)

IIT JAM 2016: Important dates

The examination schedule for the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission Test (IIT JAM) has been announced. The exam is conducted for admissions to M.Sc and Ph.D degrees, and is being organised by Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), this time. It will be held on February 7, 2016.
The examination schedule for the upcoming exam is mentioned below:

• September 2: Commencement of online registration and application process on the official website
• October 10: Last date for payment of application fee through e-challan
• October 14: Last date for submission of application and uploading of documents
• February 7: Date of JAM
• March 23: Declaration of results
• April 15 to 24: Submission of application form for admission on the website
• April 29: Last date for receipt of request for change of category along with valid documents in proper format at IIT Madras
• June 15: Declaration of first admission list
• June 29: Declaration of second admission list
• July 11: Declaration of third admission list and conclusion of admission process

CAT 2015: Registrations to begin tomorrow

The registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 is scheduled to begin tomorrow, i.e. August 6. The aspirants will be able to submit their applications online at the official site of CAT 2015, www.iimcat.ac.in.
The official notification for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 was released on July 26. CAT 2015 is scheduled to be conducted on November 29; it is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM- A).
The aspirants can register for the exam and complete the application process between August 6 and September 20. They will have the option to select up to four choices as their examination city. The institute will try to assign the first city of choice to all candidates, however, if that is not possible, then the candidates will be assigned a city as per their mentioned order of preference. The payment of fee is to be done through online mode only, i.e. through credit card, debit card or net banking. No other mode of payment is applicable.

IISC announces GATE 2016 exam dates: Check out other important details

IISC has announced the exam dates for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2016. The exam is expected to take place on January 30 till February 7 next year. IISC, Bangalore conducts the exam to provide admission to students in Master of Engineering degree programs. The score obtained in GATE 2016 will be valid for a period of three years only from the date of announcement of results.
GATE 2016 will be jointly administered by the IISc and seven IIT's namely Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur, Roorkee, Madras, Kharagpur, Guwahati.
From September 1, the online registration for GATE will commence and the last date for online filling of forms is October 1.
The syllabi for GATE 2016 papers have been revised and differs from those of GATE 2015. Earlier there were total 22 papers, but now after the introduction of a new stream namely, Petroleum Engineering (PE) the total number of papers is 23. The duration of the examination will be 3 hours. There will be 65 questions and maximum marks will be 100. The examination will be an online computer based test (CBT), which will contain multiple choice questions (MCQ).

Karnataka State Eligibility Test 2015: Examination schedule

The University of Mysore has notified the examination schedule for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2015. The competitive exam is scheduled to be held on December 6.
Eligibility criteria: The candidates should have a minimum score of 55 percent marks (50 percent for reserved categories) in their Master's degree. Their qualifying degree should be from a recognised university or institution, and should be in any of these disciplines- Science, Humanities, Languages), Social science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science etc.
The candidates who have appeared or will be appearing for the Master's degree final examination and those who are still awaiting their result or the candidates whose qualifying examination has been delayed are also eligible to appear for the KSET
