TSICET 2015: Second counselling dates published

The Telangana Sate Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has released the Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET) 2015 counselling dates at the official website, the link for which is tsicet.nic.in. The exam was conducted on May 22 at various examination centers for admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Administration (BA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) all universities in Telangana and their affiliated colleges.
The candidates are required to produce the following documents at the time of certificate verification:
  • All original certificates and 2 sets of Xerox copies like
  • TSICET-2015 Hall Ticket, Rank Card
  • S.C or its equivalent marks memo
  • Intermediate marks memo
  • Degree marks memos and pass certificate,
  • IX to degree study certificates,
  • Residence Certificate (in case where the candidate has no institutionalized education), in case of non-local candidates residential certificate of either of parents in Telangana for 10 years excluding the period of employment outside Telangana from Tahsildar.
  • Income Certificate issued after January 1,2015
  • Aadhar Card
  • Caste Certificate issued by competent authority
  • PH/CAP/NCC/Sports/Minority Certificate if applicable
  • An application of Rs 800 and Rs 400 needs to be paid by the OC/BC and SC/ST candidates at the time of the certificate verification.

IIT Bombay CEED 2016: Last day to register

The Indian Institute Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) is set to conduct the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2016 on December 6, 2015. The registration date will be concluded today i.e. September 7. The candidates can download the admit cards at the official website from November 7 to December 5.

The candidates must have acquired the following degrees.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design or Interior Design or its equivalent (four-year programme after 10+2).
  • Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or its equivalent of four-year programme after 10+2).
  • B.F.A. (four-year professional programme after 10+2).
  • G.D. Art (five-year programme after Class 10) with one year post qualification professional experience
  • Master's degree in Arts, Science or Computer Applications (two-year programme after 10+2+3)

CBSE single girl child scholarship: Details


CBSE scholarship

Providing an opportunity to pursue higher studies to girls who have a weak financial background, CBSE is offering merit scholarships to single girl child of parents under CBSE scholarship scheme. The scholarship is for the girls who have qualified Class 10 CBSE examination with 60 percent / 6.2 CGPA or more marks/grades.
Purpose of the scholarship
To recognise the efforts of the parents in supporting education among girls and to provide encouragement to commendable students by providing scholarship to single girl child who have an excellent academic record, but they are not able achieve higher education due to lack of money.
Eligibility criteria
Single girl students who have secured 60 percent / 6.2 CGPA or more marks / grades in Class 10 exam and want to pursue their studying of Class 11 and 12 in school affiliated with CBSE.
 Her per month tuition fee should not more than Rs 1500.
Scholarship amount
A Scholarship of Rs 500 will be paid for a maximum phase of two years. Payment of amount will be made by Demand Draft/ECS.
Selection procedure
Student should have qualified in Class 10 examination from the CBSE and secured 6.2 CGPA or more. Students who are pursuing Class 11 and 12 from CBSE affiliated schools will be selected.

Foreign Faculty Members under GIAN Programme for IITs, IIMs and IISc

Under the Global Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN) programme, some of the major higher education academic institutes like IIMs, IITs and IISc would get foreign faculty members for this academic year. The national coordinator for collaborating with institutes like IITs, IIMs, IISc, and NITs under GIAN has been selected to be IIT-Kharagpur.
According to the Director of IIT Kharagpur, Professor P P Chakrabarti they have planned 500 such courses by foreign teachers for the academic year 2015-16. For this purpose there has been outlay of about Rs. 35 crore. There would be faculty members joining in as distinguished, adjunct, visiting faculty or professor of practice for various institutes. There would be other faculty members would come by to deliver short or semester long courses in these institutes. Such courses would be for credit and would be made available by the host institution for participation from other institutions.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has published the admit cards for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2015 at the website.The candidates who have forgotten their registration number can directly download their admit card from the official website, the link for which is ctet.nic.in.
To know how to download, the candidates must follow the points mentioned below:
  • Visit the official website
  • Click on the tab, 'Forgot Registration No'
  • The candidates are required to enter the essential details i.e. name, mother's name, father's anme, date of birth, category, paper applied, security pin
On submitting the same, the admit card will be displayed on the screen. The candidates must take a print-out for future reference.

 Maharashtra SSC
The timetable for Class 10 (Secondary School Certificate) has finally been released by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on Thursday.
The written exams  for Class 10 is scheduled to be conducted from March 1 to March 22. Students can also check the timetable for the same at the board's official website. No student will be allowed to carry electronic gadgets inside the examination hall.

Maharashtra HSC exam 2016 timetable

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced the timetable for Secondary School Certificate (Class 10) and the Higher Secondary Certificate (Class 12) examinations on September 3. The exams will be conducted in the months of February and March next year.
As per the timetable published online, the SSC exams will be held from March 1 to March 22 and the HSC exams will be conducted from February 18 to March 28. The students can access the schedule at the official website, www.mahahsscboard.maharashtra.gov.in.
The HSC exams will be conducted in two shifts, from 11 am to 2 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm. timetable for the Class 12 examination is detailed below:
