Lucknow University commences its admission process for Ph.D programmes 2015

The University of Lucknow (LU), Lucknow has released an admission notification, inviting applications from interested and eligible candidates to apply for its Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program offered in the faculty of Arts, Commerce, Science, Education and Fine Arts for the session 2015.
Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification:
The candidates interested in applying for this programme must ordinarily hold a post-graduate degree with minimum of 55 percent of marks at the Master's degree level for being eligible for admission to the Ph.D programme. For SC/ST and Physically Challenged/ Disabled candidates, qualifying marks shall be 50 percent at master's degree level in the subject concerned.
Selection procedure
There would be two streams of applicants, namely those coming through Qualifying Entrance Test for Ph.D program (QET) and those who are exempted from the QET.

University of Lucknow (LU), Lucknow commences its M.Sc admissions 2015

The University of Lucknow (LU), Lucknow has invited applications from interested and eligible candidates to enrol for its Master of Science (M.Sc) program in Food Processing and Food Technology (CBCS) for the academic session 2015. The course would be of a 2 years duration.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must possess a three year B.Sc. degree in any stream with a minimum of 50 per cent marks (for general and OBC candidates) and 45 per cent (for SC/ST candidates). Minimum second class for Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Engineering/ Technology.
Selection Procedure
An interview and an entrance test would be conducted to evaluate candidate's performance and along with it the marks scored in bachelor's degree would also be the criteria to shortlist candidates.
The entrance test would be of a two hours duration and negative marking would not be done in the test. The paper will consist of multiple choice questions.
