Odisha Joint Entrance Exam (OJEE 2014) aspirants can apply online
in between Jan 31 and March 15. The OJEE committee in a press release
issued on Thursday stated that the students who wish to appear the test
can apply online within the stipulated time frame. The joint examination
would be held in the month of May, the release informed.
It
should be noted that the OJEE is the qualifying entrance exam
conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the
state. OJEE is conducted for admission to first year degree course in
Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Pharmacy / Homeopathy /
Ayurveda and Dual Degree course in Master’s degree in Applied
Mathematics (MAM) & Master’s degree in Computer Application (MCA)
and lateral admission to Second year Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy
/ Architecture / MCA and first year Master’s degree courses MCA, MBA,
M.Tech, M.Pharm and M.Arch commencing in 2014.
It
should be noted earlier, Odisha government had decided to scrap the
OJEE by accepting JEE Main exam scores for admission to professional
courses. The state private engineering colleges association members were
opposed the move. Later the state government decided to continue with
the OJEE entrance examination.
