The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared Class 10
Board results today, May 28. The candidates who appeared for the
examination can check their results at the official site of the Board,
www.cbse.nic.in or www.cbseresults.nic.in.
The board has
recorded an overall pass percentage of 97.32 percent. Thiruvananthapuram
region has emerged as the top scoring region, with a pass percentage of
99.77 percent. Chennai came close with a pass percentage of 99.03
percent. The lowest pass percentage was recorded in Guwahati, at 86.55
percent.
Reinforcing the trend, girls have yet again outnumbered
the boys. While girls secured a pass percentage of 97.82 percent,
amongst boys it stood at 96.98 percent.
This year, a total of
13,73,853 candidates registered for the Secondary School Examination.
Out of this, 8,17,941 were boys and 5,55,912 were girls. There was an
increase of about 3.37 percent candidates from last year.
The
Central Board of Secondary Education was founded for prescribing the
course of studies for such secondary school examinations and for
carrying out other duties which are considered necessary for this
purpose as stated in the Rules and Regulations of the Board Act.

is the national board of education for public and private schools and
conducts final examinations for Class 10 and Class 12.
