The Common Admission Test (CAT) registration date has been extended to September 25. According to a report in Times of India, 1.38 lakh candidates had registered to take the competitive exam. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on November 29. in two sessions in 136 test cities at 650 test venues. The results for the same will be declared in the second week of January.
This year onward, CAT has made a few changes i.e. the duration of the exam has been increased to 10 minutes and new section have been added i.e. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR). The paper will be segregated into three sections i.e. Quantitative Aptitute (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Verbal & Reading Comprehension (VRC).
The general and SC/ST/PwD/DA candidates are required to make a payment of Rs 1,600 and Rs 800, respectively. The eligible and interested candidates must apply through the official website, the link for which is: iimcat.ac.in.
The candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree with at least 50 per cent from a recognised university or institute. The candidates' selection will be made on the basis written ability test, group discussion and personal interview.
