Delhi University has begun the admission process for its Ph.D programmes for the upcoming academic session. The university is offering the Doctor of Philosophy courses under the Department of Environmental Studies, Botany, Genetics, Plant Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. The interested and eligible candidates may apply according to the prescribed format.
Eligibility criteria:
- The candidates must have a Master's degree from a recognised university or institute. Their qualifying degree should be in the subject in which the candidate chooses to pursue the Ph.D
- They should have a minimum score of 55 percent (50 percent for SC, ST and OBC categories) if their qualifying degree
- The candidates who have the following qualifications are eligible to appear directly for the interview round
Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written exam and an interview round. Those who have a fellowship qualification (IGC, CSIR, DBT, DST etc.) are exempted from the exam and are eligible to appear directly for the interview round.
Important dates: Last date for submitting applications for Environmental Studies programme is October 1, and for all other courses it is October 5.
The entrance exam for Environmental Studies programme will be conducted on October 12, and for all other courses it will be held on October 14.
