The exam results for students who had appeared for their Class 10 Board exams through Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education-Ajmer (RBSE, Ajmer) have been announced on Wednesday, June 10. Education Minister Vasudev Devnani declared the results that have seen an increase in the overall pass percentage by 12 per cent, as compared to last year. In the year, 2014, the overall pass percentage had reached only 66.46 per cent.
Out of the total of 11,06,048 candidates, 78.10 per cent of candidates qualified these exams, held in the month of March. Girls have out-performed boys, this year. A total of 78.41 per cent of girl candidates have cleared the exams, however, 77.87 per cent boys managed to qualify.
Ekta Agrawal of Creative Public Senior Secondary School in Sawai Madhopur district grabbed the first position. She topped the Rajasthan Secondary examinations, securing 99.17 per cent marks. Not only her, but the school has a list of 16 students who have found a place on the merit list, including the top four positions.
The second position have been shared by Aushi Agarwal and Deepak Meena, who have obtained 98.83 per cent. The third place has been saved at 98.33 per cent by Arushikha Tayal, Himanshu Sharma and Rajat Jakhar.
However, suspicions have been raised as 102 students found a place on the coveted merit list (top 15 ranks) with 54 girls and 48 boys making the cut. The RBSE chairman has requested a re-evaluation of the copies for confirmation in this regard.
