The Supreme Court has asked
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to re-conduct the All India
Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) for the year 2015-16, by 17 August 2015.
Further it has also fixed the time schedule for counseling for avoiding
unduly delay in the academic session.
The apex court vacation bench headed by Justice R.K. Agrawal and AM Sapre has given the time extension on CBSE’s plea seeking three months time for the re-conduct of the examination. It had cancelled the examination held on 03 May 2015, following question paper leak and circulation of the answer keys through electronic devices across 10 states in the country.
AIPMT is the gateway for admission to 15% of seats in all central government and state government medical colleges.
Important Points
• SC directs CBSE to conduct AIPMT by 17 August 2015
• Counseling to be held in time for avoiding unnecessary delays
