 UPSC IAS Prelims 2015: Exam to be held on August 23


The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conduct the preliminary Indian Administrative Services (IAS) exam tomorrow i.e. August 23. The candidates can download the admit cards from the official website, the link for which is, upsc.gov.in.
How to download the admit cards?
  • Go to the official website
  • Click on the link, 'e-Admit Card-Civil Service Examination, 2015'
  • Insert the required details
Submit the same. The admit cards will be displayed on the screen. The candidates can take a printout for future use. The candidates must carry the admit cards to the examination hall, failing which, they will not be allowed to sit for the exam.

The preliminary examination will consist of objective type (multiple choice questions) each of 200 marks and carries a total of 400 marks. The question papers are set both in Hindi and English. The duration of the paper is two hours. The blind candidates are permitted extra time of 20 minutes for each paper.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts several written examinations as well as interviews for selecting eligible and talented candidates for various posts. Every year, a large number of candidates register themselves for the exam.
