IISWBM, West Bengal commences its admission process for M.Phil programme


IISWBM West Bengal admissions 2015

The Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata has invited applications from interested and eligible candidates to apply for its Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Management programme. The duration of the course will be of 2 years.
Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification:
The candidates interested in applying for this programme must have a master's degree in Management, Commerce, Social Welfare or its equivalent from Calcutta University, with 55 percent marks in aggregate (SC/ST with 50 percent marks) or with 60 percent marks in aggregate of any other recognised university from any discipline are eligible to apply.
Selection procedure
A written test and a personal interview will be conducted for the candidates for their selection. Candidates who have cleared NET/SET or equivalent national level examination will be exempted from the entrance test

Application procedure
The candidates can obtain the application form and prospectus from the reception counter of IISWBM on cash payment of Rs 600. Application form can also be downloaded by visiting the official website and the payment can be made through State Bank of India Power Jyoti Account of IISWBM No. 32495656710.
Important dates
The last date to submit the application forms is August 17.
The short listed names will be announced on the website (for written test) on August 19.
The date of  the written test is August 25.
The date of the interview is September 3.
About IISWBM
Established in 1953, the institute was a joint initiative of University of Calcutta, the Government of West Bengal, the Government of India and the captains of industry in India to set up for the first time a management education institute in India.
