Delhi University has begun the admission process for its Ph.D programmes for the upcoming academic session. The university is offering a Doctor of Philosophy course in Geography. The programme is offered by Delhi School of Economics (DSE). The interested and eligible candidates may apply according to the prescribed format.
Eligibility criteria:
- The candidates must have an M.Phil or any other Master's degree from Delhi University or ay other recognised university or institute
- Their qualifying degree should be in the subject in which the candidate chooses to pursue the Ph.D
- They should have a minimum score of 50 percent if their qualifying degree is an M.Phil; however if their Master's degree is not an M.Phil, then they are required to have scored at least 55 percent.
- Those who have completed an M.Phil degree along with a Fellowship
- Foreign students (except those who obtained their degree in India) who have completed a Fellowship which is recognised by Delhi University
- Permanent teachers at university or college level, who teach Geography in Delhi University, and have been in service for at least two years
Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their research proposal and an interview round.
Important dates: Last date for submitting applications for is July 31.
The interview round will be conducted on August 10.
