Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala begins admissions to M.Tech programmes


Admissions to M.Tech courses

Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala is now accepting applications for admissions into M.Tech courses for the session of 2015. The university is offering the Master of Technology programme Computer Science and Technology for the upcoming academic year. The interested and eligible candidates may apply according to the given format.
Eligibility criteria:
The candidates should have an M.Sc in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Information Technology or any other equivalent degree
The candidates must have a minimum score of 55 percent (45 percent for SC and ST candidates) in their degree
The candidates' qualifying degree should be from an institute or university recognised by Mahatma Gandhi University and  All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their score in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). If there is a tie, the candidate with higher marks in his/her qualifying examination will get the higher rank.

The final rank list will be prepared by giving 50 percent weightage to GATE score and the other 50 percent weightage to the candidates' score in the entrance test.
Application procedure: The candidates can apply online at the official website of the university, www.mgu.ac.in. They are required to send the hard copy of the application form along with self attested copies of all required documents to the 'Professor and Head, School of Computer Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, P.D. Hills PO, Kerala- 686560'.
Application fee: The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs 600 (Rs 300 for SC and ST category candidates).
Important dates: Last date for submitting online applications is July 20.
