BITSAT 2015: Last date to download admit cards today


he admit cards for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2015 had been released online on April 15. The last day for downloading admit cards and other instructions is April 30.The applicants can download their admit cards from the official website www.bitsadmission.com
The candidates who have completed the application process and submitted the fee are eligible to book their date and slot for taking BITSAT 2015 on the site. The list of allotted centres has also been published online.

Himachal Pradesh Board results 2015: How to check

Image result for result imagesThe results for Himachal Pradesh Board exams have been declared by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE). The candidates can check the results on the India Today website. They can also view the result by following the steps listed below: 
  • Go to the official website www.hpbose.org
  • Click on the link provided for viewing results
  • Insert Hall Ticket number
  • Submit
The result will be displayed on the monitor screens. Once the students who appeared for the examination have checked their results online, they also have the option to download the PDF file of their results and take a printout for future reference. 
The official mark sheets will be sent to the affiliated institutions shortly by HPBOSE.

Jharkhand Board Class 10 results declared

The results for the Jharkhand Board Class 10 have finally been declared. The results can be viewed by the candidates on the official website. The results are also being hosted at India Today's website. Find the results here - http://indiatoday.intoday.in/education/results/
Almost seven lakh candidates sat for the Jharkhand board exams for the academic session of 2015. Out of the seven lakh, 4,54,833 students appeared for the Class 10 exam in over 900 centres across the state. 41,420 students appeared for the Class 10 exam only in Ranchi. The exam commenced at 10 am and ended at 1 pm.

Cut Off for JEE (Advanced) 2015 is 105

Image result for students result imageThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2015 post 3 pm on Monday on their official website (www.jeemain.nic.in).

Not many students could access their results after it was announced, as the server was very slow.

The cut-off score for eligibility for JEE (Advanced) is 105 out of 360 this year for students in general category, down from last year's 115.

The cut-off in OBC category was 70 and for SC and ST it was 50 and 44 respectively.

The top 1.5 lakh candidates will be eligible to appear for the JEE (Advanced) for admissions to IITs. Close to 13 lakh students appeared for the test this year.

Image result for result imageThe much awaited results for the national level engineering entrance exam, Joint Entrance Exam (Main) for the session 2015 have been declared, on the official website. In order to check the result, the candidates are required to follow the steps listed below:
Go to the official CBSE website;
Click on the tab JEE Main 2015 result;
Insert the roll number;
Insert the date of birth;
Submit.
The result will be displayed. However, the official website has crashed and it will take some time for the link to load.
The candidates in the top 1.5 lakh category shall be eligible to apply for JEE (Advanced).
The JEE (Main) exam was conducted online and offline. Almost 13 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) holds this national level engineering entrance exam that acts as a gateway for admission to centrally-funded institutions such as the National Institute of Technology (NIT) and others. Also, it is the first screening test for Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).

Karnatka CET 2015 Exam Postponed from April 29 to May 12

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (K-CET) for the session 2015 scheduled to be held on April 29 and 30, 2015 has been postponed to May 12 and 13, said the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The nationwide strike by Central trade Unions and KSRTC staff federation on April 30 has led to the imminent postponement.
Since the admission test to private colleges COMEDK-2015 is on May 10, for the first time the K-CET is being held after the COMEDK exam. More than 3 lakh students usually appear for these exams.
In a press statement, KEA stated: “CET-2015 exam scheduled to be held on 29th and 30th April and 1st May 2015, has been postponed to 12th and 13th of May 2015 due to one day strike at national level called by the Central Trade Unions and KSRTC Staff Federation. Detailed time table will be hosted here shortly.

AIPMT 2015: Important information

AIPMT 2015: Documents you must carry:
The All-India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test 2015 (AIPMT 2015) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be held on May 3 in India and overseas.
The time schedule has been provided by AIPMT for the test day.
Candidates appearing for the exam must follow the instructions and bring the essential documents as mentioned.
Mandatory documents:
Admit card;
Postcard size photograph and
Card-board/clip-board to the test center
Rough work is to be done in the test booklet only. Candidates are not allowed to do rough work or put stray mark on the machine-gradable answer sheet.
Pens will be provided at the test center for writing of particulars on the test booklet and responses on the answer sheet.

Rajasthan engineering colleges to conduct direct admissions, no RPET from this year






The Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET) will be discontinued from the 2015 academic session. Instead, the state government has decided to set up a Centralised Admission Committee (CAC), which will supervise the admissions to engineering colleges this year.
This committee includes experts from the field of technical education, who will be able to guide through the new admission process. This year 70 percent of the seats are reserved for students from Rajasthan, 15 percent seats have been allotted for management quota, and the remaining 15 percent will be filled by students from all over India.

Kashmiri migrants get 2 seats, 10 % relaxation at PU



Besides creating two additional seats, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, has decided to relax eligibility by 10 % marks for students from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) educational institutions in all recognised higher education institutions of the university.

The decision was taken at the PU syndicate meeting on Monday. The decision was taken following a letter from University Grants Commission (UGC) in which, as a part of the special scholarship scheme for J&K, UGC had requested all the universities of the country to create two seats under supernumerary quota.
The syndicate also approved relaxation and concessions to J&K students in admission to PU from the next session.

Chhattisgarh 12th Result 2015: Where to check


The class 12 results of Chhattisgarh Board (CGBSE 12th Result 2015) are expected to be declared today 21 April at http://chhattisgarh12.jagranjosh.com and www.cgbse.net.  The Class 12th Exams were conducted from 23 February 2015 to 20 March 2015 by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), Raipur.  In order to check the 12th CGBSE results, it is important for aspirants to enter their roll number. After checking the Chhattisgarh (CGBSE) results, it is important for the aspirants to take out the print out of the score card.

In 2014, the exam for Chhattisgarh Board Class 12th Results 2014 was conducted from March 03 to March 27 at the various centers in the state. The exams started with Environment Science and ended with English Language paper. A total of 2, 48,058 students have appeared for the exam  in 2014. In 2013, 74.88 per cent cleared the board intermediate exams in Chhattisgarh with a total examinee count of of 2.48 lakh students.
