National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2016: Exam dates released

The Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi has released the examination dates for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). The exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 1 to May 28 and June 6 to August 20. The exam is conducted for taking admission to first year of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programme for all architectural institutions in the country. Eligible and interested candidates should apply online latest by August 18.
Educational qualification:
The candidates should have completed Class 10 from a recognised board or institute.
How to apply:Eligible and interested candidates should apply through the official website, the link for which is www.nata.in.
Application fee:The candidates can make the payment of Rs 1,250 through net banking or credit card
Important dates:Last date to apply online: August 18
Date of NATA:  April 1 to May 28 and June 6 till August 20
The score shall be valid for a period of two years, from the year in which one appeared. The score cards will be posted on the website on the fourth working day after the test.

JEE MAIN 2016: List of important topics

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted to short list candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions, institutions funded by participating state governments, and several other Institutions.
The offline exam is scheduled for April 3 and the online exam will be held on April 9 and 10.
The syllabus of class 11th & 12th contributes to about 45 per cent and 55 per cent of IIT-JEE question paper respectively. Given below is a list of a few important topics based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics:
Mathematics: Quadratic Equations & Expressions, Complex Numbers, Probability, Vectors, Matrices in Algebra; Circle, Parabola, Hyperbola in Coordinate Geometry; Functions, Limits, Continuity and Differentiability, Application of Derivatives, Definite Integral in Calculus.
Tip: Candidates are advised to do as much as quality problems as possible to develop a sound confidence level.

BITSAT 2016: Steps for applying online

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani will be conducting Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2016. The eligible candidates can apply online latest by March 5.
Steps for applying online:

  • Go to the official website, link for which is bits-pilani.ac.in
  • Click on the link, 'Click here to apply online'
  • Thereafter, the candidates can click on, 'Allow me to apply online'
  • Enter name, gender, date of birth and email-id
After successful completion of the application process, the candidates must take a print-out for future reference. Candidates are not required to send any document by post.

The exam is scheduled on May 28. The candidates can download the hall tickets from April 20 to April 30.
Application fee: The male and female candidates are required to make the payment of Rs 2,200 and Rs 1,700 respectively.

Complete Schedule of AIPMT 2016: Form filling to Result Declartion

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) on May 1.
The candidates can check the detailed schedule below:
  • The last date to apply for AIPMT 2016 without late fee is January 8
  • The last date for successful final transaction of fee by credit card/debit card is January 12
  • The last date for successful final transaction of fee only by e-challan is January 12
  • The last date for successful final transaction of fee, with late fee, by credit card/debit card is February 10
  • The last date for successful final transaction of fee, with late fee, only by e-challan is February 10
  • Download of admit cards: April 1
  • Date of AIPMT: May 1
  • Display of OMR sheet: Between May 19 to May 23 (For any three days)

Educational qualification:
The interested candidates must have qualified class 12 from the recognized board or institute. The candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (PCB), Mathematics or any other elective subject with English. The candidates must have secured at least 50 per cent in PCB or 45 per cent (General PH) or 40 per cent (SC/ST/OBC).

CBSE declares Group Mathematical Olympiad Competition results


 Group Mathematical Olympiad Competition

The Central board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results of the Group Mathematical Olympiad Competition. The Olympiad was held on December 6, 2015 in New Delhi for students studying in the affiliated schools. A total of 35 students have qualified in the Olympiad, including an additional list of five girl candidates.

  • Click on the link ' Result of CBSE Group Mathematical Olympiad-2015'
  • Check your name and roll number in the pdf file
The candidates who have qualified the Olympiad are now eligible for the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) as a member of the CBSE group. The INMO will be held on January 17 between 1 pm and 5 pm.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the date sheet  for Senior School Certificate Examination (Class 12). The exams for Class 12 students are set to start from March 1 and will continue till April 22. The examination will start at 10.30 am.
