JEE (Advanced) 2015 exam dates announced

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2015 will be conducted on May 24, 2015.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common entrance examination conducted to provide admission in various engineering courses. Candidates who wish to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2015 have to appear for JEE(Main) 2015 which is likely to be held on the month of April 2015. 

JEE  (Advanced) 2015 will be conducted by the seven zonal Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor's, Integrated Master's and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in the sixteen IITs and the Indian School of Mines (ISM).



Eligibility criteria:
To appear for the JEE(Advanced) the candidate should be among the top 1,50,000 (all the categories) in JEE(Main) 2015. The percentage for all the categories is:
General - 50.5 per cent
OBC-NCL - 27 per cent
SC - 15 per cent
ST - 7.5 per cent


Age Limit:
The candidates belonging to the General category should have been born on or after October 1, 1990 for OBC-NCL, SC/ST October 1, 1985 is the age limit.


The candidates are eligible for giving maximum two attempts in JEE (advanced) and that too in consecutive years. That is JEE(advanced) should either be the candidate's first attempt or the consecutive second attempt.

Application Fees:
All the instructions related to the application fee will be given on the online registration website of JEE.

Paper Pattern:
The exam is divided into two sections:

Paper 1  (9 am to 12 pm)
Paper 2  (2 pm to 5 pm)
