CBSE Class 12 results: Ajmer region registers decline in pass percentage

The Ajmer region has registered a decline in pass percentage by 1.42% in the CBSE Class XII results as compared to last year. The results, which were declared on Monday, saw the region getting a pass percentage of 84.80% against the 86.22% in 2013-14. Girls fared better with a pass percentage of 89.20% as compared to the boys with 81.70%.

The result includes all streams 'humanities, science and commerce' and this time, CBSE has declared the result of Class XII prior to Class X. The Ajmer region includes Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and the union territory of Dadar and Nagar Haveli. The CBSE doesn't declare its merit list. Reports available from various sources say that this year top slot in humanities was grabbed by Pahul Singh, a student of SMS School in Jaipur with 97.2%. He scored a centum in maths and fine arts.



Science stream was topped by Divyash Pareek of SMS School, Jaipur who scored 97.8%. Commerce stream was led by Aditya Hirawat of SMS School who scored 96.6%.

Till reports last came in, schools were busy in evaluating their standing in the region and percentages of their students.

This year, a total of 1 lakh, 17 thousand and 619 students appeared in this exam against the 1 lakh ,11 thousand and 110 last year. It includes 65,378 boys and 46,830 girls.

About 22,967 boys scored 75 and above percent in this exam and 21,100 scored between 60 and 75 percent, 8,042 got 50 to 60 percent marks in the exams where as 192 students got between 40 and 45 percent and 141 managed to pass in this exam. Similarly, 21,336 girls scored 75 and above, 15744 scored 60 to 75% and 4113 got 50 to 60 percent of marks and 60 girls managed to pass with 33 to 40 percent of marks.

This time again JNV schools in the region performed best and scored 97.50 percent result, whereas, KVS schools stood second with 93.20, government schools got 86.10 percent and private and public school got fourth position with 84 percent of result.
