Kashmiri migrants get 2 seats, 10 % relaxation at PU



Besides creating two additional seats, Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, has decided to relax eligibility by 10 % marks for students from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) educational institutions in all recognised higher education institutions of the university.

The decision was taken at the PU syndicate meeting on Monday. The decision was taken following a letter from University Grants Commission (UGC) in which, as a part of the special scholarship scheme for J&K, UGC had requested all the universities of the country to create two seats under supernumerary quota.
The syndicate also approved relaxation and concessions to J&K students in admission to PU from the next session.

CBSE/UGC NET JUNE 2015 ONLINE APPLICATION

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Announced notification for National Eligibility Test (NET) which will be held on 28th June 2015. CBSE is going to conduct NET on behalf of UGC for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE will conduct NET in 84 subjects at 89 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country.
The award of JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both OR Eligibility for Assistant Professor only will depend on the performance of the candidate in all three papers of NET.

Chhattisgarh 12th Result 2015: Where to check


The class 12 results of Chhattisgarh Board (CGBSE 12th Result 2015) are expected to be declared today 21 April at http://chhattisgarh12.jagranjosh.com and www.cgbse.net.  The Class 12th Exams were conducted from 23 February 2015 to 20 March 2015 by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), Raipur.  In order to check the 12th CGBSE results, it is important for aspirants to enter their roll number. After checking the Chhattisgarh (CGBSE) results, it is important for the aspirants to take out the print out of the score card.

In 2014, the exam for Chhattisgarh Board Class 12th Results 2014 was conducted from March 03 to March 27 at the various centers in the state. The exams started with Environment Science and ended with English Language paper. A total of 2, 48,058 students have appeared for the exam  in 2014. In 2013, 74.88 per cent cleared the board intermediate exams in Chhattisgarh with a total examinee count of of 2.48 lakh students. Shubhangi Choubey of Kawardha district topped with 97.5 per cent and Shreya Sinha of Jashpur secured second spot with 97 per cent.

A new IIT is to be established in Karnataka

One more IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) has been proposed by the Government of India to establish in Karnataka. Along with the IIT, two new IIMs are also proposed by Finance Minister of India while presenting the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha. The location for the IIT is not finalised yet but the possible locations to set up the institute include Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi, Hassan, Raichur and Ballari. The state government is yet to finalize the location and send recommendation to the Central government.
