VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE 2015), to be conducted by VIT University (VIT), Vellore will be held from April 8, 2015 to April 19, 2015.
VITEEE is conducted for taking admission to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programme for the academic year 2015-16. The VITEEE scores are used for admissions to engineering programmes offered by the university at two of its branches that include Vellore and Chennai.
ELIGIBILITYCandidates should have passed Class 10+2/intermediate with 60 per cent marks (50 per cent for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology candidates, who have studied in regular, full time and formal education are alone eligible to apply.

The duration of the VITEEE entrance exam will be 2 hours 30 minutes.

- Part-I-Physics
- Part-II-Chemistry
- Part-III-Mathematics/Biology
- PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)-120 questions (each 40 questions)
- PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)-120 questions (each 40 questions).
A total of 1, 93, 790 candidates had appeared for the examination, which was held in 112 cities across 137 centres. The maximum number of registrations flew in from Andhra Pradesh totaling it to 37, 298 candidates followed by Uttar Pradesh having 28,337 candidates, Bihar with 18, 861 candidates, Maharashtra with 14,801 candidates and Rajasthan 12,839 candidates.
