IIT Gandhinagar begins admissions for Ph.D programmes

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar, has invited applications from aspirants for admissions to its Ph.D programmes. The institute is offering the Doctor of Philosophy course in various disciplines, such as Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Cognitive Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Earth Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mathematics and Physics. The interested and eligible candidates may apply as per the given format.
Eligibility criteria:
Educational qualification: The candidates should have of these degrees- B.Tech, M.Tech, M.A, M.Sc or any equivalent degree.
Their qualifying degree should be from a recognised university or institute. The candidates should have a minimum score of 55 percent marks or 5.5 CPI in their qualifying degree.

Application procedure: The candidates are required to apply online, at the official site of the institute, www.iitgn.ac.in. The candidates will be required to carry along a hardcopy of the application form, along with their photograph and all the necessary in original (testimonials, certificates, publications, work experience and research/professional experience etc.) at the time of the interview. There is no application fee.
Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic record, a written test and, or an interview round.

• The last date for submitting applications is September 25
• The list of short-listed candidates will be released on October 9
• The written test and, or interview round will be conducted from October 30 till November 2
• The list of selected candidates will be published online on November 20
