The University of Lucknow (LU), Lucknow has released an admission
notification, inviting applications from interested and eligible
candidates to apply for its Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) program offered
in the faculty of Arts, Commerce, Science, Education and Fine Arts for
the session 2015.
Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification:
The candidates interested in applying for this programme must ordinarily hold a post-graduate degree with minimum of 55 percent of marks at the Master's degree level for being eligible for admission to the Ph.D programme. For SC/ST and Physically Challenged/ Disabled candidates, qualifying marks shall be 50 percent at master's degree level in the subject concerned.
Selection procedure
There would be two streams of applicants, namely those coming through Qualifying Entrance Test for Ph.D program (QET) and those who are exempted from the QET.
The applicants seeking admission through Q.E.T have to appear for Ph.D entrance test on the date and place fixed by the admission committee and notified by the University. The candidates are required to bring original PG Marksheet/ appearing certificate, Photo ID and print out of the application form along with a xerox copy of these documents. No separate admit card would be issued.
An interview will further be conducted for the final selection.

The candidates are required to fill in the online application form at the official website. Before final submission of application form recheck that all the information filled by you are correct and then finally submit the application form.
