Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University, New Delhi has invited applications for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme offered in Faculty of Humanities and Languages, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Architecture & Ekistics for the commencing session 2014 - 2015.
Eligibility Criteria:Candidates must have obtained at least a second class masters degree with not less than 55 per cent of marks of a university or a degree recognised by the university as its equivalent in the subject in which the candidate wishes to pursue a course of research or in a subject allied thereto.

Candidates can obtain the apolication forms from the official website of the university.
The application for admission shall be submitted to the Department/Centre concerned along with a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1,000 drawn in favour of The Registrar, Jamia Millia Islamia, payable at Delhi/ New Delhi.
Selection Procedure:Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the entrance test conducted by the university.
Candidates who have qualified UGC/ CSIR NET/ JRF examination or any other equivalent examination conducted by the recognised governmental department/institute/ agency/ SLET/valid GATE score (with qualifying marks) or having successfully completed regular M. Phil. programme from a recognised university/institution are exempted.
