NIT Durgapur invites applications for M.Tech programme 2014

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur, has invited applications  for admission to Master of Technology (M. Tech) programme for the commencing session 2014-2015.
The M.Tech programme is being offered in Departments of Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Earth & Environmental Studies and Computer Applications. 
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who want to apply for any one of the above mentioned M. Tech programmes should have at least 60 per cent marks (6.5 CGPA) in BE/ B Tech / M .Sc or equivalent, as applicable), relaxation of 5 per cent marks / 0.5 CGPA is applicable for SC/ST candidates.
Also, if the results of the last qualifying examination are not published yet, the qualifying marks are applicable till the last semester.

How to Apply:Interested and eligible candidates can obtain the application form from the official website of NIT Durgapur.
As per the institute norms, the application must accompany a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/ST/PWD candidates) drawn in favour of 'NIT Durgapur,' payable at Durgapur.
Selection Procedure:Selection process consists of:
30 per cent weightage on percentage of marks / CGPA obtained in the last qualifying examination, 30 per cent weightage on written admission test and 40 per cent weightage on viva-voice in respective departments at NIT Durgapur.
Important Dates:Last date for submission of application forms: July 17, 2014.
Publication of the list of candidates called for admission test/viva voce: July 23, 2014.
Date of written test/viva voce: July 28, 2014 and July 29, 2014.
Publication of list of selected candidates and waiting list: August 01, 2014.
